Large quantities of unlicensed medications have actually been taken by Department of Health authorities during a search of a home in .

A guy was talked to by department officers about illegally importing and subsequently supplying unlicensed impotence medicines via the internet.

The 47-year-old was also questioned about other medication offences.

He will now be the subject of a report to the general public Prosecution Service.

The search was brought out by the department's Medicines Regulatory Group.

Its senior enforcement workplace, Peter Moore, said: "It is essential that we get the message across that unlicensed medicines can be harmful.

"These types of items being sold, typically online, have undergone no quality control and there can be no assurance about their safety.

"You merely do not understand what you are taking or the conditions these products were made in. More significantly, you do not understand the impact drugs like this may have on your health."
